Desert Leadership Courses
A desert biome is an ecosystem that forms due to the low level of rainfall it receives each year, normally defined as less than 100mm. There are four major types of desert - hot and dry, semi-arid, coastal, and cold, and they cover approximately 20% of the world’s surface. All have highly adaptive flora and fauna and require a specific skill set to operate in effectively as a leader.
This two week course was designed in conjunction with, and is endorsed by the British Association of International Mountain Leaders as Continued Professional Development. Run in the Sinai, it is the distillation of over two and a half decades of experience in running countless expeditions in deserts around the globe.
