How do I join an expedition?

Just fill out our online registration form here and tell us where you’d like to go. We’ll take a look at your application and send you some more information. Once approved you just have to secure your place with a deposit. Your adventure has begun!

What kit will I need?

You will need the basics for walking several hours in the sun over rough terrain. A full detailed kit list is available to team members upon request.

How fit do I have to be?

We recommend team members are able to walk up to 10km per day and carrying a pack of four kilos for five days.

Will I need travel insurance?

Yes. This is important and mandatory in order to take part in an expedition. Some providers include Dogtag, Campbell Irvine, Battleface, World Nomads and Safe Passage International. It is essential that you do your own research and find the right cover for you. Make sure your insurance covers you for all of the activities and destinations included during the expedition, gives you adequate search and rescue and emergency repatriation cover (at least $500,000), and lasts for the duration of the entire trip. Is it safe?

Where we operate is remote and generally there is a low risk of outside interference, nevertheless full precautions must be taken to avoid any conflict. What will the food be like?

In base camp and while trekking we eat a combination of delicious home-cooked and freshly prepared local dishes and ration packs.

I have special dietary requirements. Are you able to cater for me?

We can’t guarantee for every special requirement however we do our best to cater for everyone so please do get in touch with us to discuss..

Can I extend my trip?

Of course! Any modifications to the itinerary should be discussed with us beforehand and we can recommend you to our in-country tourism providers.

Are there any medical conditions that would prevent me from coming?

We have a strong policy of inclusion and try to accommodate everyone as best we can. We therefore insist on complete transparency regarding any past and present medical conditions. Any concerns you have please contact us directly and we will be happy to speak to you in private.

What vaccinations do I need?

Will I need a visa?

It depends on the destination as some countries are more strict about visas than others. You can find lots of helpful information on the government’s foreign travel advice website, alternatively you can get in touch with us and we’ll do our best to help.
